I've not crocheted in years but liked the look of this pattern for Christmas projects. I had the impression from the pictures that this would be a little stocking, turns out it's a good bit bigger! It required some serious reading to completely get the sequence of stitches clear in my head, but now, it's coming along nicely. Hopefully, I'll get a few made for Christmas presents. Fun project.

I made 4 practice squares, and, much to my delighted surprise, they all turned out beautifully. I now feel confident enough to return to the blanket, which I hope to finish before the Baby arrives.
